Long Range Automotive fuel tanks allow you to replace your main tank or add an auxiliary tank and fill through the factory filler. No more stopping to fill up - just keep driving! And with the extra weight under your truck, the center of gravity is not compromised.

40 Series Extended Range Fuel Tanks
40 Series long range tanks are available in two options: a 29 gallon underseat main tank replacement for 1979 and earlier trucks (bench seat models will require modifications to seat brackets and tool storage box), and an auxiliary tank that mounts behind the rear axle for 1979-1984 models (not pictured). Instructions and all mounting hoses and hardware are included.
The main replacement tank replaces the original tank and makes use of the available space under the left seat. The stock fuel gauge sender is relocated to the new tank, and the original filler location is re-used. Modification to the seat mounting brackets will be required.
The auxiliary tank fits behind the rear axle, and operates via a solenoid valve to switch between the main & auxiliary tank. The fuel level of the aux tank is checked with the stock gauge via a relay to the sender in the auxiliary tank that operates automatically with the solenoid valve. Modification to the body to accommodate the new fill point is required. Exhaust modifications also required after install.
